Workshops

The following workshops will be held in conjunction with CAiSE’16:

ASDENCA – Advances in Services DEsign based on the Notion of CApability

In its 3rd year ASDENCA is taking a concern to a new modelling paradigm “capability” going beyond well-established process and service, as a candidate to manage concerns of sustainability, adaptation and flexibility of enterprise IS in the presence of often changing business conditions. At the same time, the workshop will try to gather, and further enlarge scientific and practitioners’ communities interested to get possibility to discuss and advance in theories and practices related to an emerging means for solving non-trivial challenges of managing enterprise IS.

Submission deadline: 26 February 2016 7 March 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 13 June 2016

BumDISE – Business Model Dynamics and Information Systems Engineering

The goal of the workshop is to explore and clarify the nature of the mechanisms and dynamics underlying the emergence and evolution of new and existing Business Models (BMs) with emphasis both on the design of new BMs and the reconfiguration of existing ones. Both BM design and reconfiguration implies questioning the role and methods of information systems engineering.

Submission deadline: 15 February 2016 29 February 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 13 June 2016

COGNISE – 4th International Workshop on Cognitive Aspects of Information Systems Engineering

The goal of this workshop is to provide a better understanding and more appropriate support of the cognitive processes and challenges practitioners experience when performing information systems development activities.

Submission deadline: 15 February 2016 21 February 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 14 June 2016

EnBIS – Energy-awareness and Big Data Management in Information Systems

The workshop will focus on novel methodologies for the management and measurement of energy efficiency in modern information systems, considering the challenge introduced by Big Data and the opportunity offered by IoT.

Submission deadline: abstract: 3 March 2016 (closed); full paper: 22 February 2016 7 March 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 14 June 2016

EOMAS – 12th International Workshop on Enterprise & Organizational Modeling And Simulation

EOMAS focuses on the development and the application of modeling and simulation within the enterprise and organizational context. Business process management, decision making, modeling and simulation play a significant role in modern enterprises. We expect to address socio-technical aspects, enterprise information systems, software systems, business systems, business processes, human interaction, etc.

Submission deadline: 13 March 2016 3 April 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 13 & 14 June 2016

Enterprise modelling

Enterprise modeling is interested into challenges by using machine processable languages to facilitate the interaction with complex businesses and technological scenarios. We contribute to the design, implementation, use, and evaluation of solutions that span from traditional fields to more recent semantic architectures. The discussion shall be fostered on the enterprise modeling, model-based development and evolution of an IS from a conceptual or business perspective.

Submission deadline: 20 February 2016 29 February 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 14 June 2016

STPIS – 2nd Workshop on Socio-Technical Perspective in IS development

An organization is a combination of a social system and a technical system, which determines the real pattern of its behaviour. Many modern IT systems are poorly adjusted to the environment or organizations in which they are deployed. We believe that it is the high time to focus on socio-technical perspectives in the information systems research.

Submission deadline: abstract: 5 March 2016; full paper: 13 March 2016 1 April 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 14 June 2016

WISSE – 6th International Workshop on Information Systems Security Engineering

The information systems community has identified the lack of security measures in the information systems due to unaddressed security engineering during the information systems development. WISSE is filling this gap by discussing on the latest research work on techniques in the area of secure information systems engineering.

Submission deadline: 12 February 2016 3 March 2016 (closed)

Workshop date: 13 June 2016

The proceedings of presentation-oriented workshops will be published as one volume in the Springer LNBIP series.
