Synco oversees the positioning, promotion, and handling of the regional/functional product requirements for Oracle’s cloud HCM products, ranging from core HR solutions to smart social and mobile talent applications. This includes working with customers to architect the best fit scenarios and supporting sales cycles. Synco is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Synco has a strong background in HR and technology having worked ten years for PeopleSoft where he was responsible for PeopleSoft’s global product strategy for the HCM products. More recently, as Head of BPO/HCM he has helped create and build out SAP’s BPO program, looking after the global HRO segment. Synco came to Oracle five years ago from EquaTerra (a high profile sourcing advisory firm, now part of KPMG) where he advised large multinational organizations on HR(IT) deployment, shared services, SaaS and outsourcing.
Keynote Title: Serving a varied bunch: modern HR system
There are all sorts of theories as to how to build connecting technology. In a certain sense, with a Human Resources (or: Human Capital Management) system, that’s where the rubber hits the road. A system that is expected to cater for various types of users: professionals as well as casual users, baby-boomers as well as millenials, supposed to take into account basic administrative tasks as well as social collaboration and finally delivering practical information for blue collar workers as well as strategic decision support analytics for C-level executives.
We’ll take a high level look at the user interface and functionality domains of Oracle’s state of the art HCM solution in the cloud. I’ll share some of the key design principles and business realities that form the foundation of a system that touches people inside and outside of the organization. We believe that a user-friendly and functionally rich system helps create happy employees and ultimately happy customers. I look forward to discussing this with you.
